5 - 2 = 3 The 5 is the minuend, the 2 is the subtrahend, and the 3 is the difference. 14 / 7 = 2 The 14 is the dividend, the 7 is the divisor and the 2 is the quotient. To be honest, I didn't remember any of this until you asked the question. Then it all came back. The nuns *really* did a good job! ;-) john
