I'm still reading up on the flood of posts which were in my mailbox this 
morning when I got to work.  But I wanted to ask, since I can't seem to find 
this info on the net: 

Is a country's military base on foreign soil considered an extension of that 
country in much the same way an embassy is?  (for example, a foreign national 
can seek asylum in their country's embassy....)

just curious... an argument could then be made that since all US laws apply 
at Guantanamo since it is for all intents and purposes US soil, then the 
prisoners will be able to appeal any decisions against them in accordance 
with US law.
