Certain micro$haft file formats (asf) can contain these vile things.  The
reason it got by zone-alarm is because (presumably) it was opening a
browser window and your browser (netscape) is allowed to connect to the
internet even tho VILE-player is (should be) blocked.

You may want to temporarily lock internet access with za when viewing
these file formats.  The only safe thing to do.
