The ONLY answer, sad to say, is "ignore it and delete it."

Responding to it in any way (even if they claim it's how to be removed) 
only confirms to the sender that yours is a valid e-mail address where a 
live human reads the posts, making it a valuable commodity to be sold to 
other spammers, thus explaining the _increase_ in spam after you send a 
"remove" message.

If you get repeated spam from one address, you can put that address in your 
killfile and/or report that user to his ISP, a temporary solution at best, 
as he will just get another address on another ISP.
