I think the writing is as good as, say, _The White Dragon_, and it's
shorter. :)
I've also read (but a lot less recently) _Stitch in Snow_, _The Lady_,
and _Three Women_ (which is a compilation of 3 romances). If you're
into romance, they're not bad. The ones in _Three Women_ are shorter
than any of the others, but that's fine. I think they were also written
earlier than the others I've mentioned. (My sister gave me _Stitch in
Snow_ when I was in high school, recognizing the author as one I
enjoyed, but knowing I wasn't in the habit of browsing in the general
fiction, which was where that one was shelved. Once I read it, I was
reasonably happy about it.)
