That was particularly interesting for me, since it quoted my former business
partner -- and for the first time, didn't identify him as the head of the
company we started or, more importantly, he didn't claim to be the inventor
of what I created.

On the other hand, it's a bit hard to take comments about privacy seriously
from somebody who did the kind of stuff he did.  For one thing, he used to
listen in on other peoples' conversations.  Russians, that is.  From
submarines that snuck into Soviet harbors.  When we were planning our
company, we repeatedly had to tell him that no, we weren't going to even try
to create Carnivore-like systems to monitor private e-mail traffic to
discover social networks.
