The data go back to 1/1/2000. It'll be interesting to see what it looks
like using only more recent, and more accurate data that isn't focused on
the beginning of threads. But that will take a bit of work that I don't
have time to do while distracted by earning a living.

I'm not sure you're interpreting it correctly. Position relative to the
screen means nothing. It is only showing links between pairs of people, one
of whom started a thread, the other who was the first or second person to
respond. Andrea shows very few connections, actually. Some of the people
who appear in this are actually outliers, but they are either very near the
POV or very far, but you can't see it in a 2D representation of a 3D object.
Actually, I guess you can tell somewhat by the size of the icon. Andrea is
very distant; her icon is practically a dot.

Note that you have several links visible and you're in about the same plane
as the densest areas.

It does seem odd that Jeroen isn't visible here. No matter how I rotated
it, someone with a lot of connections got buried.

I've considered this some time, and I'm not sure that it really reflects
those responsible for the list traffic. Among other things, I'm barely on
and Jeroen is off, as far as I can see. Yet, Andrea, who has not been here
for a while and is well below me on the list of posters, has a far higher
position. And, I don't see Zimmy, and he is a ways in front of Andrea.

I would like to suggest that threads usually are started by folks who decide
to finally change the name of a thread. Conversations here tend to wander.
