We're moving in late July/early August or so, we think, and I don't want
to let all the packing wait until the last minute. My mother is coming
for a 2-week visit, arriving next week, and we're going to start packing
stuff the day after she gets here.
The easiest things to pack in advance, IMO, are dishes & kitchen stuff
that don't get used often and that we can live 6 months without, and
books. So I'm going to start packing up the fiction on Thursday, and
try to pack up 1 bookcase a day for the rest of my mother's visit.
(That'll take care of most of the downstairs books, if I get that far.)
Now, we're pulling out books to be set aside for reading & reference.
I'm wanting to know, no later than next Thursday, what Brin books I'm
liable to want access to. I figure all the Uplift books, plus _Glory
Season_, but I'm not sure on the rest. If anyone was thinking of
getting into an in-depth discussion of any other book, I'd want to have
it out, so I'd like to know about it *now* even if you weren't going to
have time to start the discussion before, say, June. :)
