Soooo...I hear there's this new book...

and it's written by Dr. David Brin, a noted futurist. Something called _Kiln People_.

I figured maybe some people 'round these here parts might have read it. Heck, I even figured some folks might want to talk about it a little, rather than argue over who was mean to whom and what constitutes appropriate list talk and why certain countries are bad and such.

Anyone? Anyone at all?

Well, I'll start anyway: Ditto color schemes. What do you think was the rationale behind what basic color denotes what kind of ditto you're creating? Why create a dull, boring version of yourself, even to perform boring tasks? Or create a version of yourself that's smarter, more focused, and would leave you feeling inadequate?
