Not being too lectrical, in Oz we have 240 V nationwide. Plugs use 3 pins,
one of which is the Earth. Not as substantial a plug as the Brits use, but
pretty hefty. Lots of electrical equipment uses only two pins (not earthed).

To add to Kevin's shocking memories, I can remember at age 13 using my
finger in the Birko electrical jug to test the water temperature. Bounced
off the wall on the other side of the kitchen. Never quite got around to
telling my parents about it, either.
