Perhaps you guys only participate in lists and discussion groups whose archives don't have harvest-able e-mail addresses. Yahoo, for example, hides them. And mailarchive.org has anti-robot software in place.
Apparently there has been a big surge in spam in the last few weeks, all coming from Asia. And now that some of the major ISPs there have been completely blocked by U.S. companies, they're finally doing something about it.
