My father.  While other kids' parents asked, "What did you do in school
today," mine asked, "Do you exist?"  Yes, I said.  "Prove it."

That's when I came up with the Arnett corollary to Descartes' famous
statement about existence.  It goes, "J'ai faim, donc je suis."

Yes, there's a permanent headache.
