There are a bunch of young McKinsey 'bucks' here at Freightliner corporate,
who are peering deep into the company, trying to figure out how to make it
profitable. For a company to spend millions on McKinsey, after losing
nearly
a billion last year, says a lot for the company. They have been crammed
into
conference rooms for months now...
Perhaps you will get lucky and get assigned to the Pacific Northwest.;-) We
could have coffee!
Nerd From Hell
Chad - I'd love to. You never know - I'll be in the New York office, but
that doesn't mean a whole lot about where I'll be working. Being a
consultant is very odd in that respect (among many).
Actually, though, one of the really odd McKinsey things is that we're not
allowed to say for what company we're consulting. So I could tell people
where in the country I will be, but not what company I'll be working for
while I'm there. I can see why they do that, but it does make
conversations with my friends in the company a little strange.
