No, McKinsey is the one they call in when the executives need someone else
to blame.

And then there's the other definition of a consulting company -- somebody
who borrows your watch and then charges to tell you the time.  There's more
truth in that one.  A large part of McKinsey's skill is in asking the right
questions.  And as someone else mentioned, they'll work long hours when the
client needs it, which is often.

It occurs to me that another reason I like and respect McKinsey is that they
are quite serious about being connected to the communities that they serve.
You'll find McKinsey people on a lot of volunteer boards and such, and they
do pro bono projects frequently.
