Against. My opinion of this is that its another sign of why it's *not* a good thing to have a leader who doesn't have intelligence and vision (or at least vision) and tries to make up for it by hiring "smart people" and depending on them too heavily. In the election, one of W's main selling points was that he'd delegate the job of running of the country to the best and brightest available (because it pretty obviously wasn't him.) He doesn't seem to understand that when you do so you have to watch them like a hawk. Of course the alternative was the top-heavy approach apparently taken by Gore, which has its own problems. Unfortunately neither of those two showed the public that they had much vision. This is just the latest in what will be a long list of decisions that won't seem to make much sense, especially when viewed as a whole, and may even be self-contradictory at times.
