I picked this game up last week without knowing anything about it. It's a
first-person shooter action game based in World War II. What caught my eye
was that one of the missions was the Invasion of Normandy. Well, I'm glad
to say that the game is great!! I highly recommend it.

There are 6 missions, taking place throughout World War II in Europe. The
first mission is in North Africa. I had some trouble with the suspension of
disbelief early in the game but as I grew more comfortable with it, that was
no longer a problem. I'm currently on the third mission, which is D-Day. I
have yet to make it off the beach. It's pretty amazing. Crouching behind
an anti-tank barrier as machine gun fire richochets off the metal in front
of you. Listening to the shouts and cries of the men around you (with
surprisingly good voice-acting). (Although it's pretty clear that whoever
designed this game watched "Saving Private Ryan"...)

The AI is pretty good. If you are facing multiple opponents, one of them
will pin you down with suppression fire and the others will try to circle
around behind you. The first time that happened I couldn't figure out what
was going on. Why did I keep dying? Then I finally looked behind me and
saw the guys who had snuck up on me. The only complaint is that every
German in the area doesn't come running when they hear the sound of
automatic weapon fire. But that's probably a good thing.

Has anyone else picked this game up?
