I'm guessing - because fighting a winter war is more problematic?

I must have missed the AL Central, I'll have to go back and look.

Well, I've been too busy to educate myself enough to make any real predictions,
but I can state my preferences.

You know what I think about the AL West. I think the A's were a better team
than the M's last year, at least in the second half of the season. I think that
youth and bad luck cost them the victory over the Yankees and that they would
have swept the M's had they been given the chance. And I think that they are
potentially a better team this year.

I don't know very much at all about the AL Central, but I think it would be
great if the Twinkies downsized the rest of the division. 8^)

In the AL east, no offense Zim and other Yankee fans, but I hope that the age of
the Yanks pitching staff catches up with them and they finish third behind the
Sox and the Blue Jays.

And I hope I can get through one whole season without seeing Kirk Gibson limping
around the bases 14 years ago. How come I never see replays of Joe Carter
belting the series winner against Atlanta???? That was a much more significant
moment.

I'll leave the Sr. Circuit predictions to a "strategy" fan.
