I believe that is by now indeed the only way to get out of this mess.
Unfortunately, I do not believe for a second that Israel will allow it to
happen. Certainly as long as war hawks like Sharon are in power, Israel is
not going to hand over control of *anything* to an international (almost
certainly UN) intervention force. They are not going to give up their
control over the Occupied Terrorities, and they most certainly are not going
to allow some international interim government to rule Israel.

I think I can make a pretty accurate guess about that...
