With regard to the use of profanity: 1) You will have gathered that I do not feel so strongly about it as do others.
2) I do not feel that I have been sensored. Julia was offended and was well within her rights to express that and to point out that profanity violates certain the formal list guidelines. 3) The guidelines are not laws, they are guidelines. List-members are free to interpret them as they choose. I made a tactical choice to violate the guidelines. 4) Profane words in the English language are integral parts of the language. Like other words one tries hard to select the proper way to express oneself. The word I chose in the original post was offensive because, for better or worse, I meant to cause offense. 5) I don't regret using the word very much. However, I appologize for any insult to JG's faith in the orginial post. Insulting his religion was unwaranted. 6) This is a @#$%ing idiotic thread. Let's please drop it.
