We talk about anything and everything, as Dr. Brin himself insisted that the
list remain unmoderated (back in the days when he was a list participant
himself). In the words of one once prolific listmember "All is Brin".
That being said, please feel free to initiate an "on topic" discussion.
Anything to help derail the current unpleasantness is certainly welcome.

We discussed the Fermi paradox recently. I personally find it hard to believe
that life is rare. I also think its a bit presumptuous of us to declare the
universe devoid of life because we can't detect it. But then I also think it
presumptuous to declare we know how the universe originated. 8^)
