I don't think that something like that would actually encourage
self-moderation, though.  And there *are* good discussions to be
had about the Middle East.  I'm sure if I looked into my archives
a bit I'd be able to find some that *did* happen on Brin-L.

Although a temporary repreive would probably do the list some good.
Still, flat-out saying that "Middle East == verboten" doesn't seem
right to me.  Let's fix the problem, not the symptom.
