This *would* be a laudable goal. It doesn't sound like what you're planning
on doing. Why not handle it the way I did: Post a complaint and refer the
offending party to the etiquette guidelines. Ask the list to behave
ourselves and remind us of IAAMOAC. In short, don't threaten. I do think
that your position as listowner makes what you are doing threatening. See
my previous post for an explanation.

Unjustified attacks against you personally are absolutely negative and
inappropriate. A post that says 'your argument sounds antisemitic for the
following reasons....' is not necessarily a negative attack because it is
furthering discussion. I haven't seen anyone do that, by the way, but it is
worth pointing out. Calling you a 'paranoid delusionary living in a
fantasy' is _completely_ and _totally_ inappropriate, no matter who is doing
the posting. (I don't recall the exact words so I paraphrased.) The
profanity that I objected to a couple of months ago which was directed at
you, (in which you were called a 'f****** nazi') I DID speak out against.
That was totally offensive and wrong.

As far as the appropriateness of my own posts: I have tried very hard to
remove myself from the Middle East discussion. This is a highly-charged
emotional topic for me, and I'm not sure I can maintain objectivity while
discussing it. I *have* posted a number of "scouted" articles (Wiesenthal
Ctr and the Time Commentary) that I found especially pertinent or timely,
and will probably continue to do so.

If you're talking about these last 5-7 posts about the appropriateness of
your proposed website etc., then no, I don't think they are inappropriate.
I am accusing you of overstepping your bounds as a list owner in order to
point out that I feel strongly that what you've been doing and saying is
wrong. I would consider that positive, especially if I'm right and you are
threatening list members.

BTW, I have defended you in the past by objecting to nasty behavior from
your attackers and will no doubt continue to do so. I would also consider
*that* positive. And I will continue to complain onlist when people act
uncivilized.

And so, I have answered them. :-) As far as I know, I don't ignore your
posts deliberately, and try to answer questions when they are put to me?
Have I not done so?

I DID post an answer to this and the relevancy of your being a listowner in
my previous post. If you like, I can reiterate it.
