(This will be the first weekend in the past 5 weeks when have not been either working or travelling on business- er and to admit it golfing a bit in between important scientific meetings - so am anxious to read the whole thing from beginning to end. I may then comment, if I have anything interesting to say. Last week I did get to see an interesting event at the American Museum of Natural History: A debate between two of the leading proponent of Intelligent Design Theory; Michael Behe and Walter Demsky and two staunch defenders of evolution; Robert Pennock and a guy from Brown whose name I am now blocking. It was more interesting for the personalities of the debators than what they said; these guys have been at each other so often in print, on the internet and in person that there were no surprises. Well if anyone is interested I will continue later (I now realize that this is! ! completely off the topic of the header but we all know I am a list yutz (for those of you who are Pinko commies and not commie pinokos Yutz is not to be confused with putz which of course can be confused with shmuck. So don't be a schimiel; get it right.
