Comments on your quiz, whether you like them or not.

1. Illness and conditions should include mental as well as physical, and
probably spiritual as well.

2. Suffering isn't the only reason to desire death, or obtain it.

3. Loss of identity suggests deficient spirituality, which is inconsistent
with your question #1, where you suggest illness is merely physical.

4. Stupid question. My reaction was, "duh, I wouldn't have asked if I
didn't feel ill". No child questions whether he or she *wants* to live.
Only in the context of illness is the question even realized.

5. Good question. Better phrasing might be, "Awww, pooow baby, is this a
knee-jewk weaction to yow pwoblems?"

6. Good question, but not necessary. If they could discuss it with other
people, they wouldn't be at your webpage, now would they?

7. Another good and unnecessary question. If they thought there were people
who loved, respected, needed, and sympathized with them they wouldn't be
here, they'd either "suck it up" for those people or they'd discuss it with
those people.

8. Nasty question. Is that any of your business to know? More importantly,
would knowing the answer change the agenda or the platform of the
association? If not, then don't ask.

9. *I* know the answer is always yes, there's always a plan. But for those
who aren't sure, or who may or may not have personal plans for death, I don't
know if this question accomplishes anything. Peaceful and dignified is
relative from person to person. For me, getting hit by a train is peaceful
and dignified because it is instantaneous (no pain) and dignified (when
you're dead who cares if you look marvelous?). You may or may not agree.

10. Plans again. When you're dead who cares if you look marvelous?

11. There is no authority on death except the dead.

12. I know the answer is yes. For those who aren't sure, who cares if you
look marvelous when you die or not?

13. Please. Hemlock Society does not care, at least in the sense that I
would derive some comfort.
