Well, as far as plants outside go, I know that in some places, if you
have a tree that's just terribly tempting to climb, but dangerous, you
can be held liable if a neighbor kid climbs it and then gets hurt.
"Attractive nuisance" laws. I don't know if hemlock would fall under
any laws like that where you live, but you might want to check on it
before you plant the stuff, just in case.
The table, garage and your washing machine are presumably off-limits to
any non-guest or non-intruder. The yard outside is a little more
accessible, illegal though it might be for someone to enter your
backyard without your permission. (They have strict laws about swimming
pools in a lot of places....)
Research your liability, would be my advice.
