I remember two scenes... one where some crewmembers were being asphixiated
on one of the shuttles, and one were they were planetside on some mysterious
planet, and some machine was sucking the 'life essense' from hapless
crewmembers ( this was done from attaching tubes to the temples and fluid
being sucked out into a clear chamber).
 
I remember as well, the toys were coveted... the laser weapon with two
barrels-one near the thumb and one by the little finger,

 and the shuttle spaceship, that actually could detach from the cargo
back-end. It looked a lot like a lunar lander with a trailer attachment.

I can even remember collectable trading cards. This was all pre-Star Wars,
of course. Star Wars clearly pushed this all aside, to be forgotten .
