Frell, yes. :-)

I saw all of the first 2 seasons... a good friend taped them for himself and
I was borrowing from his library for a while. I saw the third season in bits
and pieces -- not in order. It's very well written, they pay attention to
continuity and character development and generally have interesting guest
stars -- which, IMO, is often a serious problem with sci-fi series.

If you're trying to get a feel for the series is find and watch "Farscape
Undressed." They air it before the beginning of each season now. It's a
clip show designed to bring new or sometime viewers up to speed. (After
watching it you almost wish more shows did that.) You also need to watch
the pilot ep. It answers a bunch of questions rapidly (like why do all the
aliens speak English. They don't -- Everyone on board Moya has been
injected with nanotranslators or something.)

Was very annoyed that they killed off Zhaan. It wasn't their fault --
Veronica Hay was having allergic reactions to the makeup and had corneal
abrasions from the contacts they made her wear as part of her costume.
(That's the same reason Brent Stait (Rev Bem) left Andromeda, BTW.) But her
character was replaced by one that screamed a lot. It's not nice to replace
a deep, philosophical character with one who resembles fingernails
screeching across a blackboard.

Chriton's an awesome character. Nothing like having a protagonist that can
size up a situation in 20th/21st century terms. He's written with a pretty
good sense of humor too. (If you've seen the "Who's your Daddy?" scene in
one of the 3rd(?) season episodes, you know what I'm talking about.)

If you have questions about the first couple of seasons I can probably
answer 'em based on memory. You might also want to check out sci-fi.com's
farscape site -- IIRC, it's extensive.
