getting this:
BTW, I could make a similar accusation against various
people (including you). People have threatened to
unsubscribe if a Wall of Shame would be erected.
Following your logic, I could now complain that people
are trying to blackmail me into not erecting a Wall of
Shame. Because of that, I should actually build a Wall
of Shame, because otherwise I would be giving
in to blackmail.

OK, third version of this email. The first two were
too full of shouting and profanity.

Jeroen, you are the only member of this list that has
publicly stated that a "Wall of Shame" will in any way
benefit the list. If you really care about the list,
can't you see that it is perhaps not a constructive
way to settle the issue? Yes, you have been unfairly
attacked - that's been acknowledged.

Your refusal to drop the "Wall of Shame" indicates to
me that youu're not really buying into the concept of
IAAMOAC, and are instead relying on heavy-handed
bullying to get your way.

The "Wall of Shame" will get you nothing except
temporary satisfaction, and in the long run will hurt
our community. Longstanding and valued members of
this community have clearly stated they will not
remain on the list if they run the risk of attracting
your ire and having their reputations smeared by out
of context posts you deem offensive.

Will you please, for pity's sake, renounce the stupid,
divisive idea of a "Wall of Shame"?

If you drop that, I'm sure you'll see more buy in from
those you feel have unfairly attacked you. You'll
also improve my mood immeasurably, and considerably
improve the chances you'll be invited over for
homemade ice cream at my house.

See? I'm making jokes. Trying not to be all "gloom
and doom". But I'm &%$#*@!!! serious about the ice
cream.
