O.k., I am stunned at the lack of recognition of Celine Dion's greatness.
And no, Marvin, when I said that I enjoyed listening to Britney Spears (old
Britney Spears, mind you - "Slave" is as surely dreck as anything dredged
out of the Midden) I actually explicitly stated that I recognized that
Britney Spears isn't exactly material of musical merit.

But really, Celine Dion is true music.   One need only see the huge emotio
that she embues ito her music, or listen to the thick richess of toe i her
voice as she soars over notes.

Somehow I think that beacue Celie Dio is *so* popular, many people think
that almost be definition she can't represent good music, but I'd argue
strongly that in this case - the popular public is on to a very good thing.
