Maria Callas is real music.  Pavarotti is real music.  Ella Fitzgerald and
Tina Turner and Bonnie Raitt are real music.  Celine has a nice voice but
is basically a female Michael Bolton.  Which is fine if that's what you
like, but it doesn't do anything for me.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as always.  I don't mean to deny
that she gives pleasure to a lot of people.  But whenever I hear her I
feel like I'm listening to the same recycled synth-pop hooks and
sentiments that have been mass produced over and over again for decades.
