I do like Smallville, but I'd put it in the second rank. Actually I read somewhere that the finale actually wasn't the finale, since it was only ep 1.21 The normal 22 episode season had been shot, but ep 1.22 wasn't shown for obscure scheduling reasons. So next season is going to be 23 eps...
