Interesting article. Sort of a "reverse Fermi's Paradox" in a way. The problem is, who is the writer writing for? If he's writing for you and me, he's kind of wasting his time, since we don't need to be convinced. And if he's writing for the people who do need to be convinced, he's definitely wasting his time, since his argument is based on logic and science, two quaint notions the "aliens kidnaped me and probed my rectum" crowd aren't particularly long on. It's like the new Scientific American's article on 15 ways to argue with a creationist: the people you want to argue with are incapable of being swayed by the evidence.
