Sometimes I have some sympathy for the plight of some of the Palestinians, but lately it seems their leaders and radicals are just clueless.
http://makeashorterlink.com/?U29035B21 > JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli leaders hailed the killing of a top > Hamas bomb-maker as a resounding military success on Monday and said > such attacks would continue, but the Palestinians condemned it as > state-sponsored assassination. .... > Palestinians described Taher as "the Engineer-4," head of Hamas's > military wing in Nablus and a master bomb-maker. .... > Palestinian Information Minister Yasser Abed Rabbo told Reuters: "We > condemn the assassinations of two Palestinians in Nablus. This is > Sharon's plan to escalate the situation." He accused the United > States of giving Sharon the green light for such attacks and > criticized the international community for staying silent. .... > Ismail Haniyah, a Hamas official in the Gaza Strip, told Reuters on > Sunday: "The assassination will increase Hamas's determination to > continue Jihad (holy war) and resistance. Hamas will never forget the > blood of its martyrs." So, far from denying that Taher engineered bombs for terrorism and probably masterminded suicide attacks against civilians, the Palestinians seem to be proud of it. It is hard to imagine a MORE valid military target for the Israelis than Taher, and yet we have the Palestinian information Minister condemning "the assasination" of Taher as "Sharon's plan to escalate the situation". And then he expects the "international community" to say something bad about Taher's killing. Is Yasser Abed Rabbo totally clueless, or is he just trolling for clueless people who will listen to him? I can't understand his comments at all. On a more optimistic note, for whatever the stated reason, it is good to see some of the Israeli "settlers" being removed from areas they shouldn't be in.
