As a sentiment, it's wonderful, and if everyone agreed
on the way one should 'love oneself,' it might even
work.  But consider abuse of alcohol or other drugs,
or those who mutilate themseves ("cutters") or starve
themselves, or who just don't give a damn about
themselves or others - and that last category seems to
me to be _huge_.  If you don't care what happens to
yourself, it seems to be hard to care about others. 
But certainly the world would be a much better place
if more people would try to live those words.
