He was elected by the Palestinians, so it is up to the Palestinians to replace him -- although I think they are not all that anxious to get rid of him right now. Having him assassinated by the Mossad or the CIA is not an option, really. The result would be a third Intifadah that would make the second Intifadah look like innocent child's play. It would almost certainly go on till there is no Israeli/Jew left alive in the Middle East; not even a warmonger like Sharon would be stupid enough to give *that* order (although personally he would be more than happy to pull the trigger himself).
