I write: << The tagalog word for lever is, pingga or panikwas. Boat, bangka. Friend, barkada [in the same boat]. Sail, paglalayag. Boom, haligo. Zero, wala. Time [causality: nasawi, pagkat, dahilan], panahon, but in days, or araw. Similarly, we did not think in coordinate systems, but I'll guess we thought in units of time, events [mangyayari] and angles of the stars [no linguistic proof found, but I've only been looking like 10 minutes [sulok, kagiliran]]. Except for barca, I don't see any imported words. >> Lira is the word for currency in Italian. Dunno if it's a coinkydink, a comment on astronomy, or an old old old word that survives in a new new new civilization.
Nasawi does not mean "time", it means [cultivate or having good manners and good taste is 'mabuting asal', or 'good presence or personality<salt>'] ask your neighborhood tagalog. It caught my eye because of "sowwy" that tiff said. 'takas' means, "run!". That was a coinkydink. My reasoning seems firm and every indicator I see points to my conclusions, except for the timeline, which I've corrected to 4000 BC in Egypt *and* in China. I can't confirm in the Americas. Malay Mo means, "yours is Malay" and more commonly, as wordplay, "not my problem". In other words, "I am not my brother's keeper". Musashi confirms; the only way to win outnumbered is to think, "I am not my brother's keeper".
