1. Erik's abuse;
2. his refusal to either

In case you had not noticed, people spend a lot of bandwidth criticising
me, but remarkably little bandwidth (if any) telling Erik how out of line
he is. Worse yet, I have seen people trying to describe Erik's attack as
"parody", thus actually *defending* his misbehaviour.

I have seen that argument before, and it is still nonsense. There has never
been any indication that I would abuse my Listowner powers. It is time you
(plural) start realising that my role as listmember is seperated from my
role as Listowner.

And let yet another asshole get away with gross misconduct? I think not.
Too many have gotten away with it on this list over the years.

I have done enough for the good of the list. Do you have any idea how often
people have gotten away with attacking me? How many times I have let people
get away with abuse, only for the good of the list? There are numerous
attacks against me (most noticably the accusations of anti-Semitism) over
the years. The people who attacked me were never able to prove their
accusations, and very few have ever apologised for it. Yet, those people
are still on this list.
If you want someone to do something for the good of the list, go talk to
Erik. He can end all this with a single post. And we all know what should
be in that post (and if you do not know, then scroll back up to the top of
this post and read the paragraph that starts with "2.").
