I always thought electronics were... sensitive stuff. However, just yesterday I convinced myself of the opposite. In piecing together different components, I managed to short out my circuit. So when I applied power, an oscillator chip suddenly started smoking *lol*. Naturally I turned the power off to find the error and replace the chip. I didn't find a new one, and I couldn't touch the damaged one, as it was too hot. Then after having taken a short break to eat and ponder the situation, I powered up the circuit again, and woo-hoo - It worked. Pretty impressive. C:
