Aha, so the US is not the only country where you can give your child pretty
much any name you like. Poor kids.

That is something that will not happen over here in The Netherlands; to
protect the child, you cannot simply give your offspring any name you like.
If you go to City Hall to register your newborn child, the person handling
the registration can reject a name if that name might cause harm for the
child later on (believe me, "Triple M Rogue" would definitely not be
accepted). We have become a lot more liberal on that in the last five
decades or so, but we still have our limits.
