That's what we did, too.  It seemed that it drove some people up the
wall.  :)  I think my mother-in-law only asked about twice before she
saw it was futile.  (She's learned by now that if we say we're not going
to say something, we're not going to say it.)  Most folks respected our
position, or didn't even ask.

It's not really anyone else's business until the baby is born, IMO,
unless the couple is frantically searching for a name, in which case the
best thing to do is make constructive suggestions.  ("Ignatius" is not a
*constructive* suggestion, but it's a pretty funny one.  BTW, one fun
baby shower game is to get people to write down *ridiculous* suggestions
for baby names and give a prize for the one the mother-to-be thinks is
the best.  We did that, and not one, but two guys came up with names
that included "Ignatius".)
