It would have to be *very* low-lying virga to not show up on the radar.

Maybe more like fog condensing heavily?

Or maybe the radar is out of whack, or the time delay is horrendous; we
get rain here when the radar says there shouldn't be rain, and when you
look at the timestamp for the last frame, it's old enough that well,
maybe there *wasn't* rain right then.

Virga.  Looked it up in my dictionary.  Just like the zodiac
constellation, except for the terminal vowel.  (I *thought* that's how
it was spelled, but wanted to double-check before I said anything.  So
an actual print dictionary is on my desk, but it'll have to move before
Sammy can get his hands on it.)
