I also got such a revenue motivated speeding ticket. On the primary highway
along the north to south axis of our country on a saturday night (no traffic
at all, and especially no trucks since the Dutch don't allow trucks on the
road on sunday) a four lane road with a variable speed limit at the time set
at 100 km/h. I drove a spectacular 105 km/h and got a ticket. <right> That
cannot have been road safety motivated. But I knew there were cameras, and
should have payed more attention to my speed. So I grudgingly payed the fine
because I was indeed over the limit and according to the letter of the law
they were right to fine me. It just feels so injust and rather rediculous
because I aspire to never drive faster then the limit even when I feel it is
a rediculous limit set by bureaucratic nitwits. I don't even drive too fast
when people around me are almost pushing me off the road for driving (in
their view) too slow while in fact I'm only adhering to the maximum allowed
speed. (I always drive maximum allowed speed, never minimum) It feels sooooo
wrong, it is totally infuriating but what can you do.

Exactly, gotto drive slower, watch the speed even more, I mean paying too
much attention to the road ahead is just a side issue, isn't it?...... ;o)
