Any time there is a bombing or a murder of an abortion doctor, a lot of
people who are in favor of outlawing abortion come out in condemnation
of the action.  Also, a lot of people who are Christians but not
anti-abortion activists condemn the action as well -- maybe not as
publicly, but in conversation.  Any time someone does something like
that, there is wholescale condemnation of the violence; sometimes what I
hear is prefaced with, "I think abortion is wrong, but" and goes on to
say how the violence is just as bad and reprehensible.

On the other hand, I'm hearing at a *local* level a widespread
condemnation of violence committed by Muslim fanatics by Muslims living
here, so I don't entirely agree with Mr. Hale's statement above.  Again,
it isn't getting the same sort of press as the violence.
