Of course, there are difficulties with simplifying the issue to a poll
question.
For example, my answer to the question:
"Do you belive that using artifical means of birth control is wrong for
Catholics" [Yes]
is different from my answer to this question:
"Do you believe that using artificial means of birth control is
intrinsically evil?" [No.]
and additionally, I wonder how people who would answer "yes' to the second
quesiton would answer this question:
"Given that the Catholic Church has said that couples may regulate birth by
taking advantage of the female's cycle of infertility and fertility, do you
believe that altering this cycle is intrinsically evil?"
