Here's the update on my season's pickings..... after Green Bay upset
Minnesota two weeks ago and the Texans upended the G-Men last week, the
Upset Special has now made it to 6-6 on the year. In total, I am a
fairly decent 108-68 (.613) for the year.
Here's my thoughts on the week.
NEW ENGLAND is too good and in too tight of a division race in Detroit to
falter now. Look for them to cover.
Likewise, WASHINGTON will end their 0-5 Thanksgiving streak in Dallas and
finally win one.
The banged-up Cardinals will be crushed by KANSAS CITY.
JACKSONVILLE will continue to defy all predictions and upend Pittsburgh, as
Kordell Stewart falters again.
ATLANTA will avoid the trap, an remain inexorably Super Bowl bound soundly
taking down Minnesota.
Meanwhile, the slide of the NY Giants continues, as they are upended again,
this time by TENNESSEE.
In Ohio, CLEVELAND will slip past Carolina, after receving a scare, and
BALTIMORE will win in Cincinnati - I think.
INDIANAPOLIS won't be surprised by Houston this week, and cover.
Meanwhile, GREEN BAY gets off the schneid against Chicago, as does SAN
FRANCISCO against Seattle.
In a pair of upsets, I like BUFFALO to end its three-game losing streak by
again giving Ray Lucas fits, and I NEW ORLEANS to finally hang another loss
on Tampa Bay.
Finally, give me AJ Feely and PHILADELPHIA over St. Louis in a toss-up, and
on Monday Night, it will be the NY JETS that stun the Oakland Raiders in
the UPSET SPECIAL.
