I just checked online at Best Buy, CompUSA, Office Depot, Fry's/Outpost,
and the cheapest inkjet printer was $49 (an HP with a rebate)

Then I went to amazon.com, and they have the Lexmark Z23 "used and new"
for $34.99 with ink cartridges at $33.24. That is some sort of 3rd party
re-sale for the printer, not Amazon itself.

Anyway, I guess that you have found some small anomaly, but I doubt it
is available to a large number of people. So it probably is not greatly
affecting Lexmark's bottom line either way. Perhaps the model will soon
be discontinued?
