We are not "at war" with the Phillipines or Bosnia (or
Columbia, for that matter) - and none of those
governments is "at war" with us. We have troops
deployed in Japan and Germany too. The 'war against
terrorism,' like the mis-called 'war on drugs' has no
defined "enemy" in the traditional sense - so I will
not call it a World War - although terrorists and drug
cartels certainly are active in many places in the
world. And *never* is war great!! A necessary evil,
yes, but not an activity to be desired.

But now you sound like you do indeed predict the Iraq
conflict to become a world war - and your language
suggests a certain eagerness for this. Is that really
what you hope happens? To be blunt, I find that
attitude dangerous, naive and misguided.

If that is not your position, I apologize for the
misreading - but would suggest that you choose your
language more carefully.
