Well, I think that both are necessary. Ultimately, we have to insist
that the taking of any human life is unacceptable. Nevertheless, we
cannot lose sight of the fact that every time a woman feels that her best
choice is to abort her child, that this represents a failure by the
civilization to care for the very essence of what it means to be a woman in
that civilization.

Indeed, one of my favorite charities are the Crisis Pregnancy Centers of
the United States. These centers provide all forms of assistance to
troubled pregnant women so that no woman ever has to feel that she *has* to
abort her child.

People everywhere want to say what they think; choose who will govern
them; worship as they please; educate their children -- male and female;
 own property; and enjoy the benefits of their labor. These values of
freedom are right and true for every person, in every society -- and the
duty of protecting these values against their enemies is the common
calling of freedom-loving people across the globe and across the ages.
