I have not seen any reports of Ms. Chawla's religious beliefs to this point.

If we wish to discuss "repulsive" it would be to assume somebody's
religious beliefs solely because of their skin color, last name, or place
of birth.   Not that you necessarily did this, but since I have seen no
reports of Ms. Chawla's religious beliefs, it seems entirely possible that
you did.
