I tried to put myself in a position where I thought about how I would react if a Hindu or a Moslem would use language from within their tradition in a similar manner. I've been inspired by folks from other faiths in multi-traditional services before, so I'd expect that I'd be touched by a Hindu speaking of the loss of a loved one of mine in the language that reflects their faith. From my experience, religious people from different traditions can connect on a level that is not appreciated by those who are not religious.
